Like Bridget Jones choosing Chaka Khan and vodka, when we’re past the sulking stage of any great defeat, we choose to fake it ‘till we make it with a side of something fabulous. That’s where sequins come in, and this season calls for colour blocked sparkles dressed down with basics for a classic high-low look you can wear just about anywhere (and yes, sometimes that’s just the supermarket). In this vein, our must-have is Helmut Lang’s 90’s inspired lime green sequin slip skirt, pared down with a white rib singlet a la Carrie Bradshaw.
