Belts are back, baby
After years of love lost, the image of Emrata dancing in denim and a tank top (casually elevated with this seasons comeback queen) is the only motivation we need to start frequenting the belt section once again.
Of course there have been others: Claire Danes’ mysterious (potentially Gucci) red scene stealer in Fleishman in Trouble, Miu Miu’s essential micro-mini supporter, and the occasional notable mention here and there. But it took a while for us to welcome accessorising with something more than a bag and hoop earrings (does it count if you never take them off?) back into our lives. It just adds an extra layer to the already too stressful task of getting ready. And yet, here we are. It’s officially sartorially time for a little more waist structure and Emrata has sent me into belt reconnaissance overdrive.
