For better or worse, everyone loves a comeback. But when it comes to Pamela Anderson and her renaissance, it feels more like a grand coming out - an unveiling of the real her, the woman, mother, writer, and activist we once refused to see beneath the fog of press and one very bright, red swimsuit.
Her memoir, ‘Love, Pamela’, and Netflix series, ‘Pamela, A love story’, devoured in all their heartbreaking glory, finally released Pamela to the open arms of public discourse in her true form: soft, strong, determined, hopeful, and in her own words, a wildflower.
Now triumphantly (and consentingly) laid bare, Pamela has conquered broadway (her run as Chicago’s Roxie Hart was met with standing ovations), her old enemy: the media, and most excitingly (for us at least) - the world of high fashion.
From Jacquemus’s joyous holiday muse, to WWD’s cover girl, Tommy Hilfiger’s woman about town, to the pages of W Mag, British Vogue, and even on the runway for Hugo Boss - Pamela is being embraced like the icon she is - and we love to see it.
